No more Covid tests required for visitors!

Costa Rica’s Ministry of Tourism has announced that as of October 26, visitors arriving to Costa Rica will no longer need to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test.  All visitors entering Costa Rica will still need to purchase medical insurance to cover any COVID-19 related medical treatment or extended quarantine lodging and complete the Health Pass epidemiological form.  U.S. citizens entering Costa Rica prior to November 1, 2020, will still be required to provide a valid driver’s license or State ID card to establish residency in a U.S. State authorized by the Ministry of Health.  As of November 1, 2020, U.S. citizens from all 50 U.S. States and Washington, D.C. will be allowed to enter Costa Rica with the proper insurance and completed Health Pass.  In addition to the relaxed requirements for visitors, as of October 26, Costa Rican citizens returning to the country via a flight will not be issued a 14-day quarantine.
